The headline says it all but for the amazing information included about one student’s counter-protest:
Parker Miller, a philosophy student from Greenville, NC, poked his head through a plastic McCain – Palin sign and sat in front of the Catamount statue on the traffic circle at the entrance to campus with his coat draped over the cat’s head.
University police asked him to move the lawn in front of the administration building because the traffic circle was not a safe gathering place.
“The dead bear was wrapped in an Obama – Biden sign so basically I am trying to counter that argument,” he said. “I wanted to put my jacket over the Catamount’s face so he wouldn’t have to see this anymore because I think he has been through enough.”
